People in Graz

We had a quiet Sunday and I got a lot of photography in today, starting with an early morning shoot of some of the iconic sites. I’m such an introvert that I find photographing people hard. Kitty helps me by pointing out scenes and sometimes setting up shots.

We enjoyed a brunch at a nearby restaurant recommended by our host, Die Scherbe. It’s definitely cool and was crowded at 10:30. The service was slow, but they were hustling and our waitress was friendly, so it didn’t bother us. They had good vegetarian offerings and we can imaging going back.

We hang out a nearby park for a bit in the early afternoon before wandering again through the old city. We’re exhausted by 5:30. It’s probably been my biggest walking day thus far. We watch TV and enjoy the Austrian version of the Great British Bake Off, “Das Große Backen.” They are down to three young, beautiful contestants: a blond, brunette and a redhead. It’s all about their looks, not the cooking. Very funny. Kitty says the ending is like Miss America.
